Meiji Co, Ltd. (Tokyo Metropolis, Koto Ward Kazuo Kawamura, managing director, referred to as "Meiji" below) will cooperate with the Japanese national baseball team "Samurai Japan" as their "official partner".
This is the fifth of "Samurai Japan's" partner companies, following Mizuno Corporation (Mizuno), JTB Corporate Sales, All Nippon Airways Co, Ltd., and Rakuten Card Co, Ltd.
This collaboration has come into being because of Meiji's strong sense of empathy with Samurai Japan's vision of "'Unity' of Japan's national baseball team, and 'to become the world's strongest'."(*)
*The new Japanese national baseball team "Samurai Japan" was born last year, with the goal of uniting the national teams of every age group, regardless of professional or amateur, under one uniform, and becoming best in the world in all age groups. The unity of the Japanese national baseball team will promote the development of "baseball" in the mid- to long-term perspective, in the competitive, cultural, and business aspects of the entire baseball world.
In addition to the naming rights to "Samurai Japan" and usage rights of the logo, Meiji will use its know-how of sports nutrition accumulated through the years to powerfully back up "Samurai Japan's" goal of being "best in the world in all age groups", as their "nutritional support partner".
